Owners / Glen & Kristin Leff

Glen has more than three decades of experience in the sales industry, including management at Coldwell Banker Bain in the Seattle area, but more importantly has a passion for customer service and making meaningful connections with people. He had never dreamed of owning a coffee bar, but it was an amazing opportunity to make a living and for he and his wife Kristin, and to raise their three children in a more peaceful setting. Since 2013 he has been studying the coffee industry, learning the in's and out's of every piece of equipment at Midtown, refining the craft of the cup and networking with other coffee professionals and his customers, he is very proud to own and operate this unique coffee bar in Quincy, CA—a quaint town nestled in the beautiful mountains of Plumas County.

When not at Midtown, Glen can also be found tinkering in his workshop, golfing with friends, or traveling around to find the best plate of Mexican food. He is also a talented musician and appreciates music of all kinds— jazz and blues specifically.

Espresso drink of choice: Espresso over ice with a shot of heavy cream

Favorite coffee: beans from Papua New Guinea

If not coffee, Glen could be caught drinking: Diet Coke

Kristin has had years of experience working in graphic design, art production, customer service, sales and even inventory management. Her first love was always the arts, and so her education drove her to earn degrees in studio art and animation art and design. She has always had a deep appreciation for Italian Renaissance art and history, and continues to dive into those topics in her free time. She's passionate about the way people feel when they walk into a space, and it is her desire for everyone to feel welcome and at home while at Midtown, just as they would if they walked into her own home.

When not at Midtown, Kristin can also be found working on her art, gardening, decorating and reading. She finds great joy in hosting gatherings and preparing food for her family and friends. She has nurtured her love of graphic design by maintaining her freelance business since 1997.
